What laundry services do you offer at Celsious?

Can I come in and do laundry myself?

Unfortunately, no. Over 5 years ago during the pandemic we pivoted to drop-off only (and closed down our cafe). Later on, we added pickup and delivery. Please consider letting us do your laundry for you! You can customize your order and our team will take great care of your laundry.

How do I book your services? Do you have an app?

Yes! You can download our iPhone app or Android app to book our laundry services. If you prefer to book through our website, you can do that here.

Do you have a loyalty program?

We do! We have a point-based loyalty program where every $1 spent on laundry services accrues 5 points. Once you reach 500 points you can redeem for $5 OFF your next order.

Go to 'Rewards' in our app to sign up for the program, or opt in via the link in your order confirmation. We also have a referral program!

How much credit can I earn through referrals?

When you refer a new customer, you'll get $15 credited to your account and your friend will get $15 OFF their first order when they use your code.

In the Celsious app, click on the menu icon and go to 'Refer a Friend'. Share your unique code with all your friends and get that credit!

Do you do drycleaning?

Sorry, we don't offer drycleaning at this time.

Can you use my detergent?

In the interest of keeping things streamlined, please don't bring your own detergent. Your order comes with complimentary unscented laundry powder. If you prefer a subtle scent, you can add lavender to your order.

Do you have dedicated machines for fragrance-free laundry?

We don't have dedicated machines set aside for unscented loads, but we do use unscented powder as the default and run a 1-minute sanitizing rinse in between each customer. Any residue from the previous load would be flushed out before your load goes in.

If you're sensitive to scents, rest assured that the lavender we use on site is very light. It's scented only by natural essential oils, not synthetic fragrance.

Can you use my dryer sheets?

Sorry, we can't. Dryer sheets aren't biodegradable and they're often laced with toxic ingredients. We offer these alternatives: distilled white vinegar and reusable dryer balls.

White vinegar removes buildup in your laundry and will make it feel softer to the touch. Dryer balls, which you may order online or purchase from us in store, can also soften laundry and reduce static.

Why do I need a laundry bag?

Drawstring laundry bags prevent items from falling out while traveling to and from Celsious, and while your laundry is on site.

Please choose from the many options online/in stores or purchase a Celsious drawstring laundry bag for $3.50. We also have a version with handles for $6.

We wash your laundry bag with your order so that everything returned to you is clean.

Please do not bring your laundry in hampers, paper bags, IKEA bags, tote bags, plastic grocery bags or other containers/bags that can't close properly and/or can't be washed.

How do I pay for your laundry services?

When you book pickup and delivery, you can easily pay online at the time of booking.

If you're dropping off in person, you can tap or insert a credit card or debit card via the card reader. We also accept Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Cash is okay but you would need to bring the exact amount when you pick up (we aren't able to make change).

Which services qualify for pickup and delivery?

Wash-Dry-Fold and bulky item wash and dry.

Wash-Dry-Bag does not qualify at this time.

When are your pickup and delivery time windows?

Wash-Dry-Fold pickup windows:

  • 9am-12pm (Mon to Sat)
  • 6pm-8pm & 7pm-9pm (Mon to Fri)
  • 2pm-5pm (Sunday)

Wash-Dry-Fold return delivery windows:

  • 11am-3pm (Mon to Sun)
  • 6pm-8pm & 7pm-9pm (Mon to Fri)

Our team serves all five New York boroughs.

Flex pickup and delivery

30-minute windows throughout the day, powered by Uber. Please note that if you choose this option, you'll be interacting with Uber drivers, not Celsious drivers.

What if I miss my scheduled laundry pickup or delivery?

Missing your laundry pickup or return delivery after a 5-minute driver wait or cancelling less than 1 hour before the start of a scheduled window will result in a $20 fee.

This is to ensure every customer can book the delivery window that works best for them and our drivers are able to service their routes as efficiently as possible.

How should I prepare for my visit?

1. Choose Wash-Dry-Bag or Wash-Dry-Fold

If you choose Wash-Dry-Bag, you'll need to sort your laundry at home so that everything in the load can be washed and dried together on the same settings.

If you choose Wash-Dry-Fold, our team will sort your laundry for you. We'll check the care labels and process everything accordingly.

2. Put your load in a washable laundry bag

Tighten the drawstring and make sure your bag is fully closed.

Will I get my laundry back today?

Yes, as long as you drop off before 3pm. Please see the Wash-Dry-Bag and Wash-Dry-Fold pricing menus for more info.

If I pay extra, can I get my laundry back faster?

We have express service! Please see the Wash-Dry-Bag and Wash-Dry-Fold pricing menus for more info.

Can you take out one item and return it to me wet?

Sorry, we can't. Everything must be fully dry before it is stored for pickup.

Can you hang dry some of my items?

Air dry Wash-Dry-Fold service is $7.75/lb. Your items will be ready in approximately 48 hours.

I have a comforter in my load. How much will I be charged?

Bulky items are processed separately and charged by item. See pricing for bulky items here.

How will I know when my laundry is ready?

We'll text you as soon as your laundry is ready for pickup. Please note that our system cannot text non-US international numbers at this point.
