⭐ Tip: Keep your white shirts bright with an oxygen booster
Spring is around the corner, which means it's time to break out your warm weather white blouses and button-downs! This year, say goodbye to harsh bleach.
Instead of chlorine bleach, add a tablespoon of oxygen booster (also known as oxygen brightener) to your washing machine along with your detergent to brighten graying or yellowing whites.
You can also use oxygen booster for targeted stain treatment or to pre-soak white garments overnight when they need extra TLC. More on that here.
🗞️ News: NY limits 1,4-dioxane in household products
Are you familiar with 1,4-dioxane? It's a byproduct of surfactant manufacturing and a likely human carcinogen that's present in household cleaning products at low trace levels.
A New York law now limits 1,4-dioxane to a maximum concentration of 2 ppm; it will be lowered further to 1 ppm by the end of 2023. We've always been wary of 1,4-dioxane in laundry detergent so this is really great news. We hope other states will follow suit!
🗞️ News: Something exciting is brewing
We're very confident in our formulas (no 1,4-dioxane here! 💁🏽♀️) but we listened to your feedback and we decided our Corewash, Supersalt, and Wunderbar packaging could use a refresh.
We can't show you what we've made just yet, but you can expect packaging that is ergonomic, easy to recycle and really cool! Stainless steel scoops will be optional too (instead of included)—better for Corewash subscribers.
🗞️ News: A new bill focuses on microfiber filters in CA
Introduced by Assembly Member Tina McKinnor, Assembly Bill 1628 would require manufacturers to include microfiber filters on all new washing machines sold in California by 2029. The bill is co-sponsored by Ocean Conservancy, The Nature Conservancy and 5 Gyres Institute.
