Shopify asked Theresa and Corinna about their journey as small business owners and their advice for aspiring entrepreneurs!

The five-part series on entrepreneurship went live on Shopify's TikTok account, which you can find here:

Part 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 and 5.

We've also transcribed the Q&A below, in case you're unable to access the clips:

⭐ What's your favorite thing about being a business owner?

Corinna: My favorite thing about being a business owner is being able to be the architect of our own success and never having to answer to anyone.

⭐ What did that first sale feel like?

Theresa: We launched our Shopify online store about a year after opening our brick-and-mortar, and the excitement from that first sale never really goes away. Whenever we hear that “cha-ching!” sound from our Shopify app (when a new online order comes in), it still feels like on the first day.

⭐ What has been the most emotional part of the entrepreneurship journey?

Theresa: One of the things that's really gratifying is knowing that the services and products we offer really resonate with people and make their laundry day just a little bit better.

⭐ What keeps you motivated?

Corinna: We're sisters and we're pretty good at keeping each other motivated at all times. Apart from that, it's definitely our customers' positive reviews and incredible feedback that we get every single day that keeps us going.

⭐ What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs?

Theresa: As a perfectionist myself, I've definitely made the mistake of overthinking and waiting too long to get things to market, so my advice is always: Don’t let perfect get in the way of good.
